9 inning day game ended at 9:29PM. Where is the outrage? The common sense?

Throughout this now typical nonsense, not one batter had the basic common sense to not jerk around between every pitch. Neither manage had the self discipline to order his players to not jerk around, so that the game could be expedited and completed quickly before heavy rain came again.

Detroit Tigers at Yankee Stadium August 2, 2017

Schedule start time: 1:05PM

Years ago such a game would be called after five or more innings and considered complete. Now that's apparently considered a lack of integrity ... or maybe a violation of the contract with TV advertisers.

This is such a disgrace on so many levels. It came from the reign of Hall of Fame commissioner Allan Huber "Bud" Selig, who was immortalized only a few days ago in Cooperstown. Too bad that wasn't rained out.
