Pace of play: shouldn't half the players support something?

Don't pretty much all teams put 12-13 pitchers in their 25 roster spots? That's about half, right? So, however they perceive pace of play changes as being unfavorable, shouldn't it be pretty much an even split?

Unless, the players are so bogged down in opposing any change without a corresponding concession from management/ownership, that they simple oppose anything proposed. But even that hasn't been done in recent years. The players association (union) has made concessions on performance enhancing drugs (PED) and domestic violence without receiving anything in return. That's part of their current frustration with so many unsigned veteran free agent players as pitchers and catchers are about to report this week for the ceremonial start of the very long spring training ritual.

The players association will be holding its own ceremonial spring training camp for their free agents. It gets curiouser and curiouser. You know, like "Alice in Wonderland".
