Justin Upton was called out in Atlanta in the final game with the tying run on base as his Detroit Tigers were eliminated from the 2016 tournament.
Don't come back to the dugout, if you're called out on strikes. Monday, September 26, 2016
If Tiger manager Brad Asmus had drummed that into his players, then Upton might have swung at a knee high pitch right down the middle called strike three, which ended the game 1-0. None of the other Tiger players seemed to berate Upton for just standing at the plate and being called out. What's wrong with them? Being called out is unacceptable, especially in that situation. Unacceptable!
