2025 MVP so far: Aaron Judge v. Cal Raleigh.

There's some buzz on this, primarily because Cal Raleigh is a catcher, which is such a difficult position. Let's look at Raleigh among catchers and also among all non pitchers.

Among catchers Raleigh is the only one with negative dWAR and Raleigh is fourth.

Raleigh leads the American League (AL) in Home Runs and RBI. All but three of his 32 HR were hit as a catcher; 3 as DH.

Among all non players Judge is way out in front in WAR.

Judge has hit 19 HR as an outfielder and 9 as DH.

As impressive as Raleigh has been, I think Judge is the clear choice for AL MVP so far in 2025.
