Career Home Run leaders by MLB team: Met Pete Alonso joins them.

Yesterday Pete Alonso hit two Home Runs to break a tie with Darryl Strawberry and become the all time Met leader in career Home Runs. They had been tied.

However, despite the Mets being around since 1962, that Home Run total is number 28 of the 30 teams. Only Arizona and San Diego trail the Mets.

In the table below HR numbers are through August 12, 2025. Active players indicated in bold are with that team.

The year field is for teams that started after 1960.

In 2025 Manny Machado passed Nate Colbert who had the  San Diego record forever. But San Diego is dead last despite starting in 1969.
