I had stumbled onto Alex Rodriguez on an active list earlier in the season. Tejada did not play in 2012 and then played in 53 games in 2013; none in 2014, same as Rodriguez who is suspended for the entire 2014 season, including the tournament.
What the heck?

Both Tejada and Ramirez have played this year in 2014, albeit in the minors. This means they are indeed "active".
