Carlos Beltran has the answers to 2017 Astros sign stealing. Ask him.

Has anyone even asked Carlos Beltran for an interview? He could take a lot of people off the hook from commissioner Rob Manfred on down.

Beltran is the only player named in the commissioner's report about the 2017-2019 Houston Astros using improper methods to steal the opposing catcher's signs to the pitcher and getting that information to Astros batters before the pitch was thrown. Beltran is also the only 2017 Astro player involved who was retired when the investigation was done.

Beltran's final season as a player was 2017, so he only has first hand knowledge about that season but he may have more information than any Astro. That's why he should be interviewed.

Beltran also was a direct report to Yankee general manager Brian Cashman in 2019, so Beltran could reveal what advice he gave to the Yankees for their 2019 ALCS against the Astros. That's another reason he should be interviewed.

Why would Beltran do an interview? Why not? He was fired my the Mets before he had a chance to manage them in 2020. Beltran has ZERO chance of getting another job as manager and probably not as a coach. So what does he have to lose?

Maybe Beltran is writing a book and wants to cash in on his leadership role in this "scandal". That would make sense but it begs the question. Maybe Beltran just wants to clear his conscience and save baseball.

Has anyone asked Carlos Beltran for an interview? If not, why not?
