All city: New York 1947-1957 summary.

Probably the richest concentration of world class baseball activity of all time.  All three teams won multiple pennants and there were many legendary players.  After the 1957 season the Giants and Dodgers left New York and moved to California.  1948 was the only one of these eleven seasons without a New York team in the World Series.  In seven of the eleven seasons both WS teams were from New York.  New York players won half of 22 possible MVP awards.  Each season of my selection of all New York City players was highlighted in the posts immediately preceding this one.  Click link to view data for years 1947-1957.
