Weasels, Whiners: John Lackey, Jon Lester, Ryan Dempster, Boston Red Sox pitchers who have a grudge against PED users.

John Lackey, Jon Lester, Ryan Dempster.  Are they moral men upholding the integrity of the game or rigid hypocrites?  Are they self appointed or informal team spokesmen?  Does their being members of the Boston Red Sox have additional meaning?

Red Sox pitcher John Lackey on Orioles star Nelson Cruz: 'I've got nothing to say about him".

Nelson Cruz’s five-hit night helped send Boston Red Sox right-hander John Lackey to an early exit in the Orioles’ 7-4 win ...

Cruz was 3-for-3 with a double and homer off Lackey...

Lackey’s postgame comments to Red Sox reporters about Cruz spoke volumes.

“I’m not even going to comment on him,” Lackey said. “I’ve got nothing to say about him. There are some things that I would like to say, but I’m not going to. You guys forget pretty conveniently about stuff.” ...

Cruz served a 50-game suspension last season for his involvement in the Biogenesis scandal.

Even David Ortiz, biggest dog in baseball, should not be hit by pitch. Hypocracy by Red Sox and their fans?  Saturday, May 31, 2014

Manny Ramirez, twice suspended and forced into retirement for violating the Major Baseball League (MBL) policy on the use of performance enhancing drugs (PED), including steroids, being cheered when he was introduced with teammates from the 2004 championship team.

Jon Lester: how did white resin turn green on your glove?  Friday, October 25, 2013

Boston manager John Farrell stuck up for Lester saying that Lester sweats like a pig.  Nice touch.  Except that Farrell had supported his coward pitcher Ryan Dempster after Dempster deliberately committed the vigilante act of hitting Alex Rodriguez with a 90 mile per hour fastball.  Even the MBL didn't buy Dempster's denial and  slapped his wrist with a minimal suspension...

It stinks.  There's the stench of mendacity permeating Fenway Park.

Coward Ryan Dempster should be suspended 211 games for deliberately hitting Alex Rodriguez.  Monday, August 19, 2013

Ryan Dempster is a coward and thug.  Apparently like some other Red Sox players he has chosen to view the Alex Rodriguez situation as a personal affront.

Cheaters, Weasels, Whiners.  Saturday, August 17, 2013

Alex Rodriguez may be at least two of the three.  The whiner tag may not be appropriate if A-Rod's paranoia has some validity...

My interpretation of The Times would have all the current Red Sox added to the list of weasels, including those named specifically: John Lackey, Jonny Gomes, Jon Lester.

The Times said this about Lester:

Starter Jon Lester said Friday that union members should understand the process, but added that the Red Sox did not want Rodriguez on the field.

“I would imagine pretty much everybody in baseball feels that way,” Lester said.

What a weasel.  Understand the process but get the guy off the field.  What a weasel.
