We're killing baseball by letting it continue to devolve into a slow motion bore.

Jan. 24, 2015 is the last day that Allan Huber "Bud" Selig is commissioner of the Major Baseball League (MBL) that he doesn't even know exists.  A year after Selig was made real rather than acting commissioner in 1998 the two leagues, American and National, merged.  Selig was too stupid to realize that or too unimaginative to treat the re-organization as the merger it was and this contributed to many of the bad decisions made by Selig.

But of all the things that I think that Selig did to harm baseball nothing is worse than the obvious and indisputable fact that Selig let baseball become boring.  What could be worse?

Bud Selig: longest serving member of the Hall of Fame Board of Directors.  Monday, January 13, 2014

Allan Huber "Bud" Selig has been a director since 1976.  1976!  Selig has also been commissioner of the Major Baseball League since 1992...

But Bud Selig?  A director since 1976?  Who the heck knew that?  ...

Any chance Selig will recuse himself when his sycophants nominate him for election and induction into the Hall of Fame?  That will be the final irony, the threesome death:
- baseball
- Hall of Fame
- Selig.
