Yesterday on MLB TV pundits were commenting on how smart the Pittsburgh Pirates have been in recent seasons: drafting well, not over spending on free agents. You know, small market stuff.
Later on the YES Network's "Yankees Hot Stove" program pundits were saying that the Yankees would not sign David Price, etc. but that chief executive Hal Steinbrenner wanted to draft well and not over spend on free agents. You know, small market stuff. Like the Pirates.
