Of course there was competition from NFL Monday Night Football on ESPN: Pittsburgh lost in Cincinnati.
Yesterday:
Texas at Tampa: 10,724 Tampa won. The two leading American Conference wild card teams tied before the game.
Cleveland at Kansas City: 15,413 Kansas City won.

Fans not attending games of wild card contenders.
Tampa - worst
Cleveland - second worst
Kansas City - fifth worst
Along with 55 win Miami and 51 win Houston, those three American Conference (AC) teams have the lowest attendance per game among the 30 teams in the Major Baseball League (MBL).

Collapse is coming.
if the ratings plummet, which I think they will, the advertising money will dry up and the inevitable downward spiral will blow down the house of cards...
Here is the future in less than a decade:
1. Americans are not playing baseball.
2. Americans are not attending baseball games.
3. Americans are not watching baseball.
