I won't comment on each but make some brief comments and reiterate some of my positions.
There should be a designated fielder. 8 men bat. Pitchers can't hit. If they could, they would, i.e., they would play every day and be baseball players, which they are not.
The leagues merged twenty years ago. Wake the heck up!
Eliminate the mound and move the pitching distance to the middle of the diamond, about 63.5 feet from the back of home plate. Pitchers must release from that distance, not start their motion.
Eliminate the catcher, it's barbaric. Base runners may not take leads.
There's already a 12 second rule with no base runners.
Commissioner should order the umpires to enforce existing rules and not let batters get implicit time outs.
There should be no trades during the season.
Change pitchers on the fly; no ceremony. This negates the idea of having a pitcher face at least three batters.
No coaches or managers in uniform or on the field.
Increase rosters to 30. You could limit the number of players who dress but in baseball this is redundant since all teams are weighed down by starting pitchers who do not start that game. They'd be the ones to not dress.
Obviously, have the same roster size for the entire season.
I think that addresses most of the tortured junk being discussed today.
