The pitching distance should be moved back three feet to the middle of the diamond and, of course, the ridiculous mound eliminated, but the pitchers would cry too much about the sudden change and perceived strain on their arms, so that's not being proposed. It can wait until 2021.

8 batters! Forget designated hitter (DH) altogether. In recent years I've been calling for a designated fielder (DF) to replace the DH.

Let players re-enter the game as long as they stay in the same batting order position.
Complete the game in two hours. Fixing pace of play should make that happen.
Then maybe we'll pay attention.
