See the previous post: Six degrees of separation for batters or what's unique about Rickey Henderson? It introduces a batter's throwing as a factor is analyzing batting. It dealt only with the 836 batters who had at least 5,000 plate appearances (PA) in a career for seasons 1903-2012 in the American League and National League.
Definitions:
Both: switch hitters
RR: bats right, throws right
RL: bats right, throws left
LR: bats left, throws right
LL: bats left, throws left
BR: bats both, throws right
BL: bats both, throws left
This post has data for all batters. PA here is simply at bats (AB) + Bases on Balls (BB). Here are summary percentages in two groups:

Bats right, throws left (RL) and bats both, throws left (BL) are very thin lines at the top. As mentioned in the previous post: "Rickey Henderson is the only righty batter who throws lefty with at least 8,000 plate appearances (PA)." Sort of Rickey's six degrees of separation or Rickey being Rickey. Since Rickey's claim to fame is On Base Percentage (OBP) and stolen bases, one wonders why he did not bat lefty or switch hit. Lance Berkman is the all time best BL.
