1. Finish games in TWO hours. Kill DEAD time between pitches. Games are now unwatchable.
2. Have the same rules in both conferences. Replace the designated hitter with a designated fielder and eight batters.
3. Introduce re-entry, i.e., some form of "free" substitution.
4. Introduce at least a code of conduct, if not an honor code.
5. Introduce rules on sportsmanlike conduct and appearance.
There could be plenty more. Number one is paramount. Without that, all is lost. Dramatically improving the pace of the games is essential. Baseball will die without radical change.
