Ah, this is the best! I was wandering through Retro Sheets and "discovered" Cliff Johnson's three dinger day, with two happening in the 8th, at ole Exhibition Stadium. RS said that it was an afternoon game, on a Thursday? Considering the day and start time, there's virtually no shot that there's any visual record of the feat, which is what I was hoping to run into. Oh well, at least I found your blog!
