In 1934 Tommy Bridges won 22 games in the first of three consecutive seasons with at least 21 wins. He led the AL in 1934 with 35 starts and had ERA+ 119 in 275 innings, 16 home runs allowed.
Ken Brett (brother of Hall of Famer George Brett) was 13-9 in both 1973 and 1974; ERA+ 110, 105. He threw 1,526 innings, 243 more than Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera.(1,283) In 373 PA Ken Brett hit 10 home runs; OPS+ 95.
In 2004 Jake Peavy was 15-6 (.714) in 166 innings and led the NL in ERA with 2.27 (ERA+ 171). In 2007 Peavy won the NL Cy Young award.
