Mt. Rushmore: Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle. Giants come close.

Baseball players only, no pitchers.

Only data for that team counts.

There's no doubt about the big four of the New York Yankees. Three played only for the Yankees, all but Ruth.

The Giants are the only team that comes close. But only Mel Ott played only for the Giants. And the Giants moved from New York to San Francisco. You don't see Mt. Rushmore moving.

Click this link to view the data derived from stathead.com. Fields on the right were used to compute OPS+ for each group: using the proportion of the individual's PA applied to his OPS+. Then adding them up.

For combined seasons, Playing for NYY, in the regular season, requiring Home Runs >= 350 and Adjusted OPS+ >= 150, sorted by descending Adjusted OPS+.

That's it for the Yankees. I tried adjusting the parameters for other teams, including the Braves, Reds, Tigers, but none got close.
