Aaron: Boone, Judge, Hicks, Hank.

Hank Aaron is the most famous Aaron in baseball history. Hammerin' Hank/Bad Henry was a great all around player, who is now remembered for holding the career home run record (755) between Babe Ruth (714) and Barry Bonds (762). Aaron topped out at 47 home runs in 1971 at age 37, so Hank has already been passed by 25 year old Yankee rookie Aaron Judge who hit 52 in 2017. Ruth set the season home run record four times, including 60 in 1927. Bonds holds the season record with 73 in 2001.

The Yankees had two players with first name Aaron in 2016 and 2017: Judge and Aaron Hicks. In 2018 Judge and Hicks will be joined by a third Aaron: Boone the new Yankee manager.

The 2016 Yankees had Tyler Austin, Tyler Clippard and Tyler Olsen. The 2017 Yankees had Austin, Clippard, Tyler Wade and Tyler Webb.

Aaron Boone:
Born: March 91973 (Age: 44-269d) in La Mesa, CA
Relatives: Brother of Bret Boone; Grandson of Ray Boone; Son of Bob Boone

Aaron Boone played 54 regular season games for the Yankees in 2003 with six home runs, then 17 tournament games in three rounds with two home runs. Those were the only tournament games of his 12 year playing career. Boone homered in rounds two and three.

Tuesday, October 21, 2003 in the World Series Aaron Boone hit a lead off 9th inning home run making it 3-1 Yankees. The Yankee won 6-1 to take a 2-1 lead in games over the Marlins. However, the Marlins won the next three games to win the series.

Aaron Boone's biggest hit in his career came in the semi-final round against arch rival Boston Red Sox.

Thursday, October 16, 2003 in game seven at Yankee Stadium, game tied 5-5, 11th inning Aaron Boone had his only plate appearance of the game, having entered as a pinch runner in the 8th inning for Ruben Sierra, who had been intentionally walked pinch hitting for third baseman Enrique Wilson:

11th inning Aaron Boone hit a lead off, walk off home run off Tim Wakefield to win the series.

Mariano Rivera was the pitcher of record and got the win after throwing three shutout innings in relief.

In January 2004, Boone tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during a pick-up basketball game, played in violation of his contract with the Yankees.[11][12] The Yankees released Boone on February 27, 2004.

Aaron Boone was honest in explaining how he had been injured. The Yankees needed to replace Boone at third base and traded Alfonso Soriano to Texas for All Star shortstop Alex Rodriguez, who converted to third and was American League MVP in 2005 and 2007 and became the Yankees all time third baseman.

In his last two years with the Yankees Soriano played second base and hit 39 and 38 home runs. In 2006 in his only season with Washington, Soriano moved to left field and set a franchise record with 46 home runs.

After three years of the ten year quarter of a billion dollar contract they had given Rodriguez, the Texas Rangers was so desperate to get rid of that financial burden that the Rangers would have taken nothing for Rodriguez. Instead Yankee general manager Brian Cashman traded a very valuable player for Rodriguez. Not a good move.
