Brian McCann beats the shift ... twice!
Brian McCann hit two RBI singles through the standard location for the shortstop during the recent series against the Toronto Blue Jays. The shortstop was playing on the second base side of the bag in an extreme shift against the lefty batter McCann. Good for Brian McCann! I've been very critical of McCann for hitting into the teeth of the shift but he is showing some flexibility, something that is not happening with Yankee first baseman Mark Teixeira.
