Eliminating pitchers, eliminates catchers. And base stealing, which slows down the game.
Pitching machines allow a real competition between the baseball players on teams. All batters swing at the same type of pitches.
Fewer mound visits, mostly to lubricate. And hardly any changes during the game, only for complete malfunction. Whatever will managers do with all that free time, since 99% of moves deal with pitchers?
