I know, James Dolan should seem much worse but give it some thought.
The Dolan family owns Cablevision and the Madison Square Garden Company, which includes the hockey Rangers and basketball Knicks. It's the bad record of the Knicks that causes most Knick fans to want Dolan gone.
But, unlike Hal Steinbrenner, who along with his three siblings owns the Yankees, at least Dolan has tried new management teams. The current one is headed by Phil Jackson, who as coach won 11 NBA championships.
The Steinbrenner Kids have stayed with president Randy Levine and general manager Brian Cashman beyond all reason. Both are long time holdovers from the late George Steinbrenner, who like Dolan, changed management teams often but with more success. So far few Yankee fans want the Steinbrenner Kids gone.
Stability is good ... when it's working. If it's broke, fix it.
Steinbrenner Kids failed and should sell the Yankees. Friday, April 22, 2016
