Baseball needs more balls in play.
6 hours, 18 innings is NOT entertaining, nor a doubleheader. Tuesday, May 9, 2017
After writing yesterday's post I learned that a record had been set Sunday, May 7, 2017 in the 18 inning game in Wrigley Field between the Yankees and Cubs 48 Strike Outs (SO) in one game by both teams combined. 22 Yankees, 26 Cubs struck out. Leaders:
Yankees: Aaron Hicks, Chase Headley 4 each
Cubs: Kyle Schwarber, Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, Addison Russell 3 each.
That's entertainment?
Stimulating, provocative, sometimes whimsical new concepts that challenge traditional baseball orthodoxy. Note: Anonymous comments will not be published. Copyright Kenneth Matinale
