baseball-reference.com is the original source. Mantle's splits for how a pitcher threw are slightly incomplete. For his career three of his 536 homers are not classified. However, the breakdown in this post presents his home run rate in ways that may be unique even for long time Mantle fans.
For instance, contrary to conventional wisdom, Yankee Stadium did not penalize Mantle's home run hitting as it did his predecessor in center field Joe DiMaggio, who batted righty: 148 home, 213 road. Both Mantle's home/road home run totals and his home run rate are about the same, in fact, his home rate is slightly better.
Mantle's home run rate on the road is slightly better against lefties. In Yankee Stadium his split rates are very different: 19.5/13.1. Obviously, that's because he had more than 1,000 more AB against righties.
Even though Mantle was a much better hitter batting righty against a lefty pitcher, teams took their chances with their southpaw pitchers in Yankee Stadium having their lefties pitch to Mantle in 18.3% of his career AB at home but only in 15.9% of his career AB on the road.

Wonderful. Mickey was park-proof. Home, away, left, center, right. What power. Thanks
