A cancer survivor, the star first baseman announced he’d decided not to get the COVID vaccine while recognizing it was saving a lot of lives.
“This is a life decision,” Rizzo on June 11. “It’s a decision I made and I stand with. Obviously there are people that are going to hate me and think I’m disgusting, and there are going to be people that side with me, but it’s out in the open.” ...

It’s unknown if Rizzo ever changed his mind about being vaccinated.

Anthony Rizzo played nine games after joining the Yankees, then missed ten games due to the plague, then returned to active duty and played the first game he was eligible: August 18, 2021 against the Red Sox, the final game of a three game Yankee sweep at Yankee Stadium.
The previous day the Yankees won both seven inning games against Boston. Didn't we see Anthony Rizzo, unmasked, in the Yankees dugout in both of those games? Mask or not, why was Anthony Rizzo in the Yankee dugout prior to being re-activated?
Does Anthony Rizzo have a Yankee roommate on the road? If so, how does that teammate feel about the Rizzo "life decision"?
A Yankee season ticket holder told me that fans at Yankee Stadium are supposed to be vaccinated but that no one checks.
More companies and industries are requiring vaccination of their employees. MLB should, too. Tell the players it's a PED (performance enhancing drug). Then they'll take anything. They're only afraid of some needles.
You don't have the right to spread the plague.

It's an experimental, unapproved injection.
99.8% of people who have it recover.
The vast majority who die are aged and have several co-morbities.
The drug companies have no liability by law for death or damage their
products cause.
Apparently, you haven't been keeping up with the deaths and side effects caused by these experimental injections.
People at risk need to stay home, not the healthy.
To demand people be injected violates any number of laws and of course to discriminate against those who choose not to be injected violates any number of laws as well.
It's about freedom and if you're afraid, it's you who should stay home.
We have enough tyrants running around this country. I recommend you try some freedom for a change. You might learn to like it.
The comment above is from "unknown". Very brave. Go spread the plague in the anonymity you so richly deserve (1776). Would you have no one take the vaccine? You 30% who refuse benefit from the 70% of us who are responsible human beings. It's not about freedom. It's about being a good human being.

Vinnie, the blogging software does not give me the option to reply privately. Both of your comments add more detail but I thought that your original was sufficient. I agree that sports should not involve politics and avoid that as much as possible but I've addressed some issues when felt compelled. Some stuff cannot go unchallenged. I hope you understand.
I plan to post about batters having more strike outs than walks. For instance, even Joey Votto. Let's both get back to baseball.
