Babe Ruth (54, 59, 35, 41, 46)
Roger Maris (39, 61, 33)
Alex Rodriguez (36, 48, 35, 54, 35, 30, 30)
Mark Teixeira (39, 33, 39).
Lou Gehrig hit 47 in his third full season 1927.
Joe DiMaggio hit 29 as a rookie in 1936, then 46, 32, 30, 31, 30.
Mickey Mantle didn't hit 30 until his fifth season 1955: 37, 52, 34, 42, 31, 40, 54, 30.
Don Mattingly reached 30 in his second full season 1987: 35, 31, 30.
100 HR first two Yankee seasons: Ruth 113, Maris 100.
40 or more HR in first two Yankee seasons: Ruth (54, 59), Jason Giambi (41, 41). Curtis Granderson in his second and third Yankee seasons: 41, 43.
Led league in first Yankee season: Ruth (54, 59), Teixeira (39).
Gary Sheffield first two Yankee seasons: 36, 34.
