Teammate Pairs 2 Consecutive Seasons Home Runs.
The pairs are in order by the most home runs in a season by two teammates in one season, Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle in 1961: 61+54=115. They are the only teammates to hit at least 50 home runs in the same season. Combined with their 1960 numbers (39+40=79) they had a total of 194 for two consecutive seasons. However, one other pair of teammates hit more home runs in two consecutive seasons: in 2001 and 2002 Alex Rodriguez and Rafael Palmeiro hit 199 with the Texas Rangers. They are listed twice below because in the original table each of those seasons were among tops. In 2002 they joined four other teammate pairs with at least 100 home runs combined. In 2001 Rodriguez and Palmeiro had just one fewer.
