Ruth and Judge tied through 154 games at 60. Maris 58. Ghost of the Bambino?

Tonight the 2022 Yankees played game 154 in Toronto, defeating the Blue Jays and winning the American League East division: 95-59-0. Aaron Judge did not hit a Home Run for the 7th consecutive game; Judge walked 4 times and was 0 for 1.

The 1927 and 1961 Yankees each played one tie game for totals of 155 and 163 games respectively. AL in 1961 was the first season of 162 games (5.2% more) because of 25% more teams, expanding from 8 to 10.

Three Yankees have hit at least 60 Home Runs:
Babe Ruth: 60 in 1927
Roger Maris: 61 in 1961
Aaron Judge: 60 in 2022 with 8 games remaining

In 1920 Ruth out homered every other team in the AL. In 1927 Ruth did it again when the Philadelphia Athletics were second to Ruth with 56 Home Runs led by Hall of Famer Al Simmons 15.
