Milwaukee Brewers owner and manager should apologize to their Yankee peers for "horseshit" remark.

Milwaukee Brewers manager (Pat Murphy) should apologize and be disciplined for unprovoked "horseshit" Yankees attack.  Friday, October 30, 2026

Murphy was talking about the one season (2023) that his first baseman Jake Bauers played for the Yankees: 84 games, 272 PA, OPS+ 87. The Yankees 2023 record was 82-80 but they won the AL pennant the next season, losing to the Dodgers in the World Series.

The Milwaukee Brewers are owned by American businessman Mark Attanasio, who serves as the franchise's principal owner and chairman.

Tenure: Attanasio purchased the team from the family of former MLB Commissioner Bud Selig in 2004 (with the sale finalized in 2005).

Mark Attanasio should have already contacted Yankee owner and managing general partner Hal Steinbrenner and apologized for the comments made by the Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy on the Tampa playing field during the team's celebration after winning the 2026 World Series. Murphy used the phrase "horeshit Yankees", obviously intending it to be negative.

Nor has the culprit, Pat Murphy, made any public or private apology, including to Yankee manager Aaron Boone. Supposedly Murphy didn't know that someone recorded him, apparently with a cell phone. Murphy said it out loud to Jake Bauers in the middle of the Tampa baseball park. The two were laughing it up.

Murphy indirectly insulted Yankee captain Aaron Judge who played only 106 games in 2023 due to injury. In 2026 Judge played only 66 regular season games (285 Plate Appearances) due to injuries that flared up at the end of the season and caused him to not play in any playoff games. Despite that, the Yankees won the second most AL games.

The first Yankee I saw hit a home run in person was Mickey Mantle. The second was by Yogi Berra in the same game. Yogi's was a walk off. I am a Yankee fan.
