Runners on base splits: (Judge & Stanton so far in 2022), Maris 1961. Should Judge and Stanton bat back-to-back?

Aaron Judge might hit more home runs in 2022 than any American League player ever. Judge has 29 so far. Roger Maris hit 61 home runs in 1961, the most so far. 2022 stats are through Yankee game 77 (56-21).

Judge has mostly batted #2 in the 2022 Yankee lineup. Giancarlo Stanton mostly #4. In 2017, Judge hit 52 home runs for the Yankees and Stanton hit 59 for the Marlins, 47 batting #2. Judge has hit 26 of his 29 2022 home runs batting #2. In 2017 Judge hit 13 of his 52 home runs batting #2, half of his 2022 #2 homers in half a season.

In 1961 Maris hit 57 home runs batted #3 in the Yankee lineup. In all games that he started in 1961, Mickey Mantle only batted #4 and Mantle hit all 54 of his home runs batting #4. Maris hit HR 60 and 61 with Hector Lopez and Yogi Berra batting #4 behind him.

60 Home Runs in 154 games: Ruth yes. Maris no. Bonds, McGwire, Sosa? Monday, June 12, 2017

In 2022 Judge has hit three HR batting leadoff and 26 HR batting second. That seemed unusual for a 50 HR hitter and led to this post.

Aaron Judge batted leadoff six times in 2022 ... so far. Shouldn't he bat third? Saturday, June 18, 2022

Where you bat effects how often you bat with runners on base. But does it impact how well you hit, particularly home runs?

Should righty batters Judge and Stanton bat back-to-back, either 2-3 or 3-4? Yankee manager Aaron Boone has been breaking them up with lefty Anthony Rizzo (21 home runs) between them.
