The New York Yankees didn't play the Brooklyn Dodgers in the World Series until 1941. 

In the 82 seasons 1941-2022 the Yankees and Dodgers played each other 11 times in the World Series, probably the most two team match-ups. But the most recent was in 1981, the halfway point.

The Yankees first played the Giants in the World Series in 1921, the first of three consecutive. But they have not played each other since 1962.
